To all my loyal followers:

Or maybe just the women who are desperate for affirmation:

Or the women that I like to refer to as 'my social life':

My home will be open as usual this Friday night for girl's night out. Come one, come all.

You do not have to be big, little, fat, skinny, smart, not so much smart, pretty (like me), ugly, stay-at-home mom, working-outside-the-home mom, or even a mom at all. You just have to be a girl, preferably of legal drinking age who wants to have fun. ... Wait, that reminds me of a Cyndi Lauper song. Must look it up on Project Playlist now.

What does one do with ones children if say, ones husband works until 8:00?
Can one wait until hubby gets home and come around 8:45...is this too late for the fun?
Or does one unhappily lug children alongside her and threaten them not to bother her while she is deep in discussion and drinking her special drink?

Wish I was going to be there to get drunk with you all. Just kidding...about the drunk part, that is.

I will answer Missy's question. You show up too early, say 5PM with your children and make them play outside until their toes freeze. Then you get them a blanket and send them back outside.
You get to nurse your drink and talk to the ladies.
Leave when you starting nodding off at the table.
That's when I leave anyway.
My kids usually want to stay outside the whole time because that's where the good times are for the kids.

Crissy... My friend and I swapped kids. She kept mine this afternoon and I was going to keep hers tomorrow afternoon. I may be keeping them tomorrow night now, so I will have to let you know about coming out there. I really want to! Really I do!

Alas, I shall not be there (again). We have the old company Christmas party tonight. Upside, I get a free meal at Tavern on the Summit. Downside, I have to look at Scott Holmes while I'm eating it. Oh well, you can't win the all...

I mean 'win them all' - why can't we edit comments??? Hellooo, can we only delete them? What if I don't want to delete the whole comment when I only made an itty bitty mistake? Huh, what then? Am I ranting for nothing? Is there a way to edit it that I don't know about? I mean I rarely make mistakes, we all know that, but what if, what if?

BUT....If you do it Next Friday, my in laws will be here, and I would LOVE to come!!! :)

Grateful Introspection
